Jonathan and Charlotte

This is a story that happened two years ago. Still very refreshing today.
I really love Britain's Got Talent as every now and then surprises come out with wonderful stories behind the scene :

We can see how much they improved as time goes, which also means this is one of the cases that they do the best at last. Although they lost to a dog in the competition, which I really think was not that impressive ( because many people had done the same there ), I still wouldn't be surprised that Jonathan's career could last much longer than others like Paul Potts or Susan Boyle.

They have finally decided to separate this year as each of them has got a solo album contract.

「腿又斷了」 .... What a comment

在亞洲出差的同事聽到我開刀的消息，直覺地脫口而出：「他腿又斷啦 ?!」 嗯，腿又斷了，真是個再合適不過的評語了。來到北加州才 4 年多的時間，這事就發生了兩次，我該怎麼讓朋友們覺得這只是個意外呢？

我猜受傷的人大概自己不會感覺到自己有多蠢，最起碼我就是這樣。我總覺得每次受傷都是獨立的事件，再加上明顯造成的生活不便，應該有很多人會願意可憐我並伸出援手才對；但是如果做一些簡單的統計，大家就可以很快發現，會受傷的那個人總是會一直受傷，沒事的人似乎永遠也不會出事。那麼受傷這種事到底該用「倒楣」來形容、還是「活該」會比較貼切呢？如果是「活該」，還真是沒什麼好值得可憐的。

早年沒有記錄，有些事我已經不很有印象了；但如果從 2002 年開始算，大致可以寫得出下面的表來：

    2002 左小腿（車禍，馬來西亞）
    2002 右腳踝（羽球，新竹）
    2005 左膝　（壘球，台北）     ß 這個終於第一次上石膏了

    2006 右腳踝（機車車禍，台北）
    2012 左膝　（羽球，Fremont）ß 這個終於第一次開刀了
 2014 右小腿（壘球，San Jose）ß 這次是又開刀又上石膏，還第一次上了鋼釘（8/13）

12 年 6 次，跟著我混的這兩條腿真的很命苦，好在他們不能夠大聲抗議。他們兩兄弟同時還相當夠意思，輪流一人一次，沒有全都集中在同一隻腳上，真是幸運能擁有這麼照顧我這個主人的兩位弟兄！

不是嗎？有多少人腳受過傷，還傷到要開刀打石膏的？有人一輩子也沒這個機會，小弟卻才在過去 10 年就經歷了 3 次了，這真不只是「意外」可以解釋的。我真心希望這是我這輩子的最後一次，只是我實在查不出衰神為什麼總會找上我的原因，所以我也不知道怎麼保證這能是我這輩子的最後一次 ....

這次的傷真的很糟糕，右腓骨斷裂，再加上右腳踝多年來舊傷沒好，肌肉無法將腿骨拉回原位，只能挨刀子了。接下來是 8 週的復原期、以及長達 6 個月的復健。復原期間右腳不能落地，也代表不能用力；開車是沒機會了，旅行更是天方夜談。現在每天靠著室友接送、靠著室友做飯過活，9 月的大小兩個旅行（西雅圖及摩洛哥）也已經確定取消。希望 12 月的墨西哥旅行能夠成行，否則這一傷的影響也真的太大了。
